UT Southwestern list of high-profile people
Note that there are no educators on the list, at least not on the abbreviated list offered by the newspaper.
Staff
UT Southwestern Medical Center records information about wealthy or well-known people to ensure they receive select treatment during medical visits. This list, dated July 2003, was compiled by UT Southwestern staff and reflects that staff's judgment on which prospective patients might deserve special treatment. The News is only presenting the names on the list, without accompanying personal information.
The News interviewed a sampling of people on the list and found that none knew they were on it or had asked to be on it. Many also said they had never received any kind of medical treatment at UT Southwestern. Among those who had visited the facility, many said they were unaware of receiving any special attention. The list may be incomplete, due to missing pages or the passage of time.
