Federal Class Action Lawsuit Plaintiff seeks Plaintiffs to add to Lawsuit

ATTENTION: MEMPHIS CITY SCHOOLS & SHELBY COUNTY SCHOOLS FORMER STUDENTS


IF YOU GRADUATED FROM ANY MEMPHIS CITY OR SHELBY COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM IN THE 2006-2007 SCHOOL YEAR WITH A CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE OR SPECIAL DIPLOMA AS AN EXITING DOCUMENT ,YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO BE ADDED TO A PENDING CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST THE TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.


To Be eligible you must have:
1.Passed all required courses but failed the Gateway Exam and were denied a high school diploma in the 2006-2007 school year.

2. Be a former student of any Memphis City & Shelby County Schools that had a mild disability that met all the requirements to graduate from high school but, failed to pass the Gateway Exams by the end of your senior year in the 2006-2007 school year.

3.Be a former student of any Memphis City School in which you attended resource classes in Science, English ,or Math with documentation of an IEP.

4. Be a former student of the Memphis City or Shelby County School System that were issued Certificates Of Attendance and were denied participation in the graduation ceremony due to failure to pass any portion of the Gateway Exams.
