    A Glance at Who's Been Invited to Send College Graduates Out Into the World

    Kudos to The University of Tulsa.

    Founded in 1826, Furman University describes itself as "the oldest, largest and most selective private institution in South Carolina." John Broadus Watson, founder of behavioral psychology, graduated from Furman.

    George W. Bush is scheduled to be the commencement speaker on May 31, 2008.

    Miami-Dade College bills itself as the largest and most diverse college in the nation. Here is their Mission Statement: "The mission of Miami-Dade College is to provide accessible, affordable, high quality education by keeping the learner’s needs at the center of decision-making and working in partnership with its dynamic, multicultural community."

    Margaret Spellings is scheduled to be the commencement speaker on May 3, 2008


    The University of Tulsa is a private, independent, doctoral-degree-granting institution whose mission "reflects these core values: excellence in scholarship, dedication to free inquiry, integrity of character, and commitment to humanity."

    The university achieves its mission by educating men and women of diverse backgrounds and cultures to

    Robert Pinsky, former U. S. Poet Laureate is scheduled to be the commencement speaker on May 10, 2008.
