Keep Room 101 on the Air
Ohanian Comment: "Room 101" is hosted by Nebraska teacher Michael Baker on KZUM 89.3FM in Lincoln, Nebraska and features interviews and talk about critical issues in education and schooling. Michael's guests have ranged from Noam Chomsky to test resisters. We need to support one of our own--especially when he's on the side of the angels. You can say, "Well, I don't live in Lincoln, Nebraska. But ask yourself, how many radio stations in your area support teachers? AND you can listen to Room 101 on the Internet.
If you do take the time to send a few dollars, please let me know. I like to know when this website makes a difference.

Brother/Sister, can you spare a dime? I'm serious: click on the url and send them $10.
Hey, ever wanted to be a disc jockey? If you pledge $1,000 here's what you get (besides Michael's eternal thanks): Plaque, Guest DJ Spot, Premium T-Shirt, KZUM Sweatshirt, KZUM cap, KZUM mug & coffee, Listing in Sound Alternatives, KLUB KARD.
That said, I suggest $10. If 100 of us complainers did that, we'd make a difference.

Tthis is the time of year that my community radio station KZUM is having the fall pledge drive. Since we have no corporate sponsors and rely primarily on listener support, I am asking all of you if you can make a pledge to the station. This will certainly help keep my program, Room 101, on the air. I would appreciate it if you can take the time to go to kzum.org, click on the flashing pledge icon, fill out the pledge form, and indicate that your are pledging my show. Internet Explorer may work better, but you can try Mozilla.
Each programmer's goal is $100 per hour of time on the air but my goal is to reach $1,000 over the course of this pledge drive. So, please support Room 101 and assist in keeping this jewel of a community station functioning.
