A Good Day for the Resistance
Ohanian Comment: If possible, we should all support resistance groups around the country. Just as their children's pain is our paid, their success is also ours.
Dear Members and Friends of PEN,
Today was a very good day for the Resistance. The Seattle media picked up the story of the atrocities carried out by the Seattle School District and did a very good job of telling the story from the teachers' and parents' perspectives. The district is still trying too hard to convince dissenters that the test is appropriate, totally ignoring state opt out policy, parental rights, teacher professionalism, and student needs. You will particularly enjoy the Dave Ross interview, if you get a chance to listen.

Click on the March 6, 10-11 am segment. Rachel, one of the parents from the class, did an excellent job with a thorough presentation of the situation. Parent interview begins approximately half way in. After the parent, I speak a bit, then the district spokesperson presents their story (and their sticking to it), and then Dave was kind enough to give me the last 30 seconds to comment/rebut. I love when that happens!

After reviewing some of the "fruits of our labor" this week, please consider making a small or large contribution to PEN in the name of the teachers and parents we have been working with. Thank you to those who have responded to my recent emails by contributing through our PayPal account. All contributions will be put to good use paying the bills so we can carry on with the highest quality, most comprehensive help possible to any and all who ask. WASL season is coming up. As always, we will support parents in opting their students out of the test.
