Reminder to New York City Teachers: Here's your chance to participate in an important survey. Don't remain silent! Here's a chance to make your views known.
New York City teachers who have had experience with the ELA and Math Test are invited to take an interesting survey about New York’s test program. This independent survey is trying to reach as broad a sample as possible of certified teachers serving in the NYC public schools in grades 3 to 8.
The topics covered include test preparation, testing and scoring procedures, as well as the purposes of the program, the test results and their meaning.
The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete and your input counts. Therefore, it is important to finish the survey. You can leave the survey and come back to complete it--if you are interrupted or don't have the time to do it at once--until you click 'Done' at the end.
Your knowledge and the opinions of teachers like you will have direct significance for the testing program. Your answers will also provide valuable insights relevant to current discussions about mayoral control of education and the re-authorization of NCLB.
