What Every Parent, Teacher, and Community Member Needs to Know About No Child Left Behind

by Susan Ohanian

Now is the time to spend real energy fighting NCLB.

Elizabeth Jaeger's booklet, What Every Parent, Teacher, and Community Member Needs to
Know About No Child Left Behind,
posted on the Oakland Ed. Assoc. website

http://www.oaklandea.org/front_page_docs/may_07/NCLB%20Jaeger.pdf

is about to be printed. I am taking pre-orders at 100 booklets for $50. When I find out postage rates, this price may well increase.

Elizabeth and I figure that with 100--or 500-- booklets on hand, you will put them to good use. And the booklet contains ideas for activism.

The time is critical right now. Kennedy is pushing for renewal. We need to make this big push NOW.

So e-mail me your order, and you can have this pre-publication price.

100 booklets for $50

The money goes to pay the printer. You are getting the booklets at cost.

Please join in this last-ditch effort. I repeat: with 100--or 500 booklets--in hand, you will figure out what to do with them. How about a public reading on the capital steps? Or outside the office of your congressional representative? Or to your schoolboard, which has the right to "just say no"?

Frankly, I hope everybody gets this booklet into the hands of people they don't know. And starts a conversation.

Once I know the postage, the price is likely to go up, so as they say in the TV ads, order yours within the next 8 hours to get this bargain rate.

Why am I the one shipping them out? I live near the printer, who is going to drive them to my house.

Send me an e-mail with your order:
susano@gmavt.net

Remember, when you place an order, to give me your postal address, and I will send you information of where to send the check.
