The Professor, the Congressman, and the Common Core Consultant
To refute the charge that they've never set foot in a public school classroom, the professor, the Congressman, and the Common Core State Curriculum Standards consultant visit a classroom and look at students. Then they each go home to write a book about public schools.
The professor's book, The History of Standards as a Tool for Hegemony from 1648 to 1692, costs $345.99, and is required reading in all her classes.
The Congressman's book, The Common Core as Final Solution to Preparing All Students to be Workers in the Global Economy, has a foreword by Melinda Gates, and is distributed free of charge by the Pearson Foundation.
Interviewed by the media about his forthcoming book, the Common Core consultant said, "I'm too busy writing perfect Common Core lesson plans for Internet delivery to every classroom in America to write a book."
