The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and US Department of Education Join Hands to Announce Operation STOP

Press Release

With an innovative new technology project, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the U. S. Department of Education are out of the closet, willing to admit close connections in a new cutting edge project of education reform advocacy.

Cutting Edge Core Data Grid Enhancement: Operation Turkey Buzzard (Cathartes aura) is funded 50-50 by the Foundation and the Department of Education.

Based on research sponsored jointly by the Thomas B. Fordham Institute, Bellwether Education Partners, and the Harvard School of Education, the science driver for Operation Turkey Buzzard comes from a diverse range of imperatives, including gravitational-wave classroom procedures, theoretical condensed-matter standardized test application, high-energy kindergarten response time. It has been validated by six teachers who joined Teach for America in August 2013.

"This project directly affects the usability and productivity of Operation Turkey Buzzard, opening it to a wider range of corporate opportunity," announced Melinda Gates at a meeting of the PTA, which will produce brochures explaining the project to parents.

The combination of easy access and Power Point provide a road map to make Operation Turkey Buzzard especially important to union affiliates, ASCD functionaries, the National Writing Project, and other recipients of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation grants. Secretary Arne Duncan announced, "I am pleased by the enthusiasm of leading reformers in Memphis, New Orleans, Chicago, and Bridgeport who have already applied for implementation grants."

Operation Turkey Buzzard features Common Core Online Advanced Connectivity Collaborative which will deploy a next generation extensible network architecture in support of faculty, staff, students, parents, and bus drivers across multiple disciplines, enabling the extension of the Common Core classroom regime first to a school-wide, then regional, then national audiences, showcasing CommonCore expertise and expanding to grow cyber-enabled knowledge discovery communities.

Turkey Buzzard develops an easy-to-use, high-performance data transfer and synchronization solution that can operate everywhere researchers need their data to be: student desktops, teacher gradebooks, district oversight modules, supercomputing centers, scientific instruments, public and private cloud providers, and Pearson Instructional Resources K-12 Education Solutions.

According to a press packet distributed by the Gates Foundation, "Turkey Buzzard enables automation and optimation of the timely placement of data across a wide range of scenarios, using policy-controlled sharing, replication, caching, control loop optimization and overlay multicast."

Patterned after The American nuclear-war plan, known as the Single Integrated Operational Plan (SIOP), Turkey Buzzard has adopted the acronym Single Technological Operational Plan (STOP).
