Students' Test Scores Sent To Wrong Addresses
ISSAQUAH, Washington
Nellie Stromquist was excited to get her daughter's 4th Grade WASL test scores, until she realized she'd been sent the scores for another child.
I looked at the third piece of paper that was the WASL score and it wasn't my child. It was a child that was in my daughter's class but was up the hill," says Stromquist. " It started with and 'R' my last name starts with an 'S.' "
Stromquist knew the student, and hand delivered the score, hoping they had her daughter's score in exchange.
"Turns out she had somebody who started with an 'N.' I was a little nervous thinking somebody else is seeing what my daughter is doing, and that's just not right," explains Stormquist.
It appears the mix-up is pretty widespread among the families at Sunny Hills Elementary. . . .
Because of the teachers' strike 3500 test score packets were shipped out of the administration office, instead of the individual schools. "It appears that the training in a case or two is not what I would have liked. Again, we regret very deeply any mistakes."
For Issaquah parents this mix-up just adds to the frustration over the teachers strike.
