    An Arizona Tax Scam

    Dear Arizona Taxpayer:

    Imagine being able to give the gift of education and save an equal amount on your state taxes. Arizona grants a dollar-for-dollar tax credit of up to $625 for Arizona taxpayers who contribute to a School Tuition Organization (STO) for the purpose of providing financial aid for students who attend private schools in Arizona. This means your cash gift will cost you absolutely nothing.

    The Arizona Independent Schools Scholarship Foundation (AISSF) is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that provides financial aid to qualified students attending Green Fields Country Day School, St. Gregory College Preparatory SChool and Phoenix Country Day Schools. Gifts to the Arizona Independent Schools Scholarship Foundation may be designated for the member school of your choice of left undesignated.

    The enclosed brochure contains more details about how to take advantage of this tax credit. To receive tax credit for 2003, gifts must be received by December 31st.

    Please fill out the enclosed form and return it with your gift. A receipt for use in filing your 2003 taxes will be sent to you.
