    Rush Defends Paige

Did you hear Rod Paige? This was so good until he apologized. This really burns me up. Rod Paige, here's his apology. He called the NEA a terrorist organization. He called the National Education Association a terrorist organization. And they are, I mean, in the sense that if terrorists take hostages, then I'd say the kids are hostages in schools. They are being held hostage to an indoctrination, not an education.

Can I give you a little point here, folks, can I make a little point since I'm on a bit of a roll here? We keep hearing about the need for job training. We keep hearing about the fact that low-income people are not making livable wages. We keep hearing about outsourcing. We keep hearing that companies have to take jobs out of the country in order to fill them. Well, what do you think part of the reason for this just might be, folks? Could the answer to this dilemma possibly be that we are not teaching anybody in secondary or elementary education anything worthwhile to prepare them for the world? And so when they come out of these schools, they're not qualified to get jobs that pay much money, because they have grown up hating business, they've grown up being told that Captain Planet is the guy they ought to admire, they have been given a bunch of environmental radicalism as education, they have been indoctrinated into good lovable little liberals, and you parents know all this, you send them off to college and you keep your fingers crossed.
